A Canada Goose comes down in Shipley Town Centre
A Canada Goose comes down in Shipley Town Centre today, presumably because of the wet roads and the sunny morning and mistakenly come down on bright wet tarmac instead of water.
He should have gone to' Specsavers' because the canal is very close to where he was found.
Luckily this goose's problem was spotted by council employee's Julie and Sara, who noticed the large bird wandering in and of traffic on the busy town centre roads.
Julie and Sara ushered the goose off the road and then contacted Y.A.W.S for help, the pair then took time out of their busy schedule to monitor the goose for a while until we could attend as we were a distance away in Todmorden, and they did a great job keeping the goose safe until we arrived on scene, Julie and Sara then assisted James to catch the goose.
Once the goose was confined, he was checked over it was noted he had grazes to his feet but only superficial so he was treated with spray iodine and taken across the road and released onto the canal.
