We rescue a wet Tawny owl, collapsed in sub-zero temperatures for hours.
A collapsed Tawny rescued from a garden in Halifax.
We received a call a couple of days ago about an owl seemingly collapsed in an elderly couples garden.
On our arrival we picked up a male Tawny owl weak and wet in sub-zero conditions, we rushed him back and started to warm him up gently, assessed his health treated an injured leg. Before introducing re-hydration fluids and pain relief/antibiotics to help to stabilise him.
The next day he was still weak but stable. So we transferred him to Corio a bird of prey centre in North Yorkshire.
Hopefully, he will pull through, good luck little one.
